  1. FreeSpace and the Analog JoySticks

  4. Descent FreeSpace: The Great War for AmigaOS supports a wide
  5. range of input devices from "usual ones" like Keyboard, Mouse
  6. and CD32 Pads to "exots" like PC Analog Joysticks and Playstation
  7. Pads. Many Players like to have a Analog Control for Space-Games
  8. like "Descent Freespace" - though of course you also can play it
  9. without analog devices.

  11. To attach a Playstation Controller like the Sony Controller you'd
  12. get a special adapter called "PSX Port" which every well-sorted
  13. Amiga Hardware Dealer should have in stock, and which is supported
  14. by FreeSpace.

  16. To use a PC Stick you sadly cannot just order the adapter: You have
  17. to do some soldering yourselves. There are many PC Analog Stick Adapters
  18. for the Amiga, but not all of them work with FreeSpace. In the following
  19. I am describing how to build an adapter which is compatible with
  20. FreeSpace (and also ADescent, the Descent 1 port for AmigaOS, BTW).
